The recruitment process for an applicant usually takes between 4 to 9 weeks. The duration may vary depending on the urgency of the position to be filled or the number of applicants we will consider.
Action Against Hunger reserves the right to close a recruitment before the expiry date of the announcement.
Depending on whether you work at headquarters or in the field, your integration may take different forms. In particular, you will be accompanied by your direct manager and your entire team when you first begin working.
You will also be invited to an in-person integration seminar, depending on the arrangements set up in your workplace (1 to several days depending on the missions).
A project to redesign the integration and onboarding system is currently underway for all employees of the organization. Its completion, planned for early 2020, will strengthen the dissemination, understanding and sharing of Action Against Hunger values, practices and processes among the organization’s members.

The members of the Recruitment and Mobility team, which is organized by sector of activity, use regular formal or informal meetings, career or professional interviews, follow-ups of your evaluations, to get to know you better and encourage the development of some of your skills and your internal development, whether at headquarters or abroad.

To build employee loyalty, Action Against Hunger has developed an ambitious HR policy that encourages training adapted to the profile of each employee, both before departing for a mission and throughout the entire experience with Action Against Hunger.
Action Against Hunger is committed to developing the skills of all its employees, whether at headquarters or in the field. You thus have access to various measures implemented at headquarters and in the missions, and according to the criteria defined for each of these measures.
Thanks to our partnership with CrossKnowledge®, the world leader in e-learning platforms, you will have individualized access to our online training platform at any time. With about 70 references on offer, you will be able to benefit from both transversal training modules (project management, management, change management, etc.) and modules more specific to our organization and created by Action Against Hunger, to allow you to develop your transversal and technical knowledge.
Action Against Hunger also offers an annual training plan, taking into account the needs expressed by employees and the operational needs of the sectors of activity. Each year, you will be able to benefit from collective or individual training sessions.
Action Against Hunger has also set up a system of training grants for employees based abroad and to co-finance your wishes to resume your studies. In 2019, 20 employees were able to benefit from this support system.
Finally, in response to the more global challenges of training the humanitarian professionals of tomorrow, Action Against Hunger is developing partnerships with training organizations. Thus, our organization is engaged with Deakin University and offers a Diploma of Higher Studies in Humanitarian Leadership (11 students supported by Action Against Hunger in 2019) or with the Bioforce Institute for the development of higher education in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in the Middle East.
We have a new international remuneration policy, in order to offer you remuneration adapted to the different professions of Action against Hunger and its economic model, while valuing both the responsibilities you exercise and the contexts in which you implement them.
By working with us in the fight against hunger, and as an international staff ans as an experienced professional, you will benefit from a regular fixed-term contract with a competitive remuneration package consisting of a basic salary, various bonuses, lump-sum payments paid to your place of employment and benefits paid directly by Action against Hunger.
