We give our employees the means and opportunities to develop their skills and competencies.  Our managers encourage learning in the workplace, detect potential, and show recognition to their employees.

The Recruitment & Mobility team at the service of your professional development

Whether you are in the field, at headquarters, working as an apprentice or intern or as an employee, a dedicated Recruitment and Mobility Officer will support you, throughout your career.

The members of the Recruitment and Mobility team, which is organized by sector of activity, use regular formal or informal meetings, career or professional interviews, follow-ups of your evaluations, to get to know you better and encourage the development of some of your skills and your internal development, whether at headquarters or abroad.

Our objectives are the following:

  • Provide you with an individualized follow-up
  • Support you in taking on new responsibilities and in your mobility aspirations within the structure
  • Foster the acquisition and development of your skills
  • Promote your commitment to our organization both in the field and at headquarters.

Skills development through personal training

To build employee loyalty, Action Against Hunger has developed an ambitious HR policy that encourages training adapted to the profile of each employee, both before departing for a mission and throughout the entire experience with Action Against Hunger.

Action Against Hunger is committed to developing the skills of all its employees, whether at headquarters or in the field. You thus have access to various measures implemented at headquarters and in the missions, and according to the criteria defined for each of these measures.

Thanks to our partnership with CrossKnowledge®, the world leader in e-learning platforms, you will have individualized access to our online training platform at any time. With about 70 references on offer, you will be able to benefit from both transversal training modules (project management, management, change management, etc.) and modules more specific to our organization and created by Action Against Hunger, to allow you to develop your transversal and technical knowledge.

Action Against Hunger also offers an annual training plan, taking into account the needs expressed by employees and the operational needs of the sectors of activity. Each year, you will be able to benefit from collective or individual training sessions.

Action Against Hunger has also set up a system of training grants for employees based abroad and to co-finance your wishes to resume your studies. In 2019, 20 employees were able to benefit from this support system.

Finally, in response to the more global challenges of training the humanitarian professionals of tomorrow, Action Against Hunger is developing partnerships with training organizations. Thus, our organization is engaged with Deakin University and offers a Diploma of Higher Studies in Humanitarian Leadership (11 students supported by Action Against Hunger in 2019) or with the Bioforce Institute for the development of higher education in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in the Middle East.
